Kate photographed our wedding on a snowy February day. Her photos of our special day resembled scenes from a winter fairytale! We loved Kate’s enthusiasm and creativity. Choosing a wedding photographer was very important to me. When we saw other people’s photos, we either loved it hated them. we wanted to love ours! Kate was recommended to us by a friend. She had photographed at my venue before and sent me those pictures. They were gorgeous! So then we had our first phone call with Kate prior to hiring her: she GETS IT. Brides are a little crazy, they want what they want. Kate handles brides beautifully. We wanted ‘photojournalism’ style photos, and she talked us through exactly what she would shoot. She also gave wonderful tips about the do’s and do nots. Things that she has seen work, and things that did not. She made us feel confident in our decision to choose her. We had no worries on the day of about ‘missing anything’. We trusted her completely. And she nailed it! We did not want to miss any of cocktail hour, and she got us there early : after going out into a field for spontaneous photos on hay bales, we got inside just as a soft rain fell and a rainbow appeared. (these unplanned photos turned out to be our favorites!) It felt like we was hanging out with an old friend the day of my wedding. Kate made us feel comfortable, made us smile and laugh: my day was so stress free and she was a huge part of that. She made sure we looked good! Fixing hair, rotate the bouquet of flowers for optimal beauty, making sure the train of the dress was just so, she wants all the details to be perfect, just like the bride and groom do. Her second shooter was awesome as well, he also made it feel like hanging with an old friend and was cracking us up all day! We highly recommend choosing Kate as your wedding photographer, she will not disappoint!

Our daughter Penelope was just 8 days old when Kate came and photographed her. As a typical first time mom, I was overwhelmed and exhausted wondering how we would get P to sleep through all these pictures! As soon as Kate got to the house with all the gorgeous props, I felt relieved. Between Kate’s unending patience and amazing ability to literally “shhhh” Penelope to sleep, we ended up with more beautiful pictures than I had anticipated! I would highly recommend Kate for any photography needs.

Kate was absolutely amazing !! We could not have asked for a better photographer. She was patient as well as organized! She clarified exactly what we should expect and proceeded to work on that track throughout the entire day. She focused on everything, the groom and I, family, friends, setting and decor. It's not easy to accomplish a specific vision with 145 guests involved but she did it. She went above and beyond for us. I can not stress how critical of a roll she played.
